The G:res1 Fund is a Jersey-based exempt company that is focused on investing in market- let residential properties in the UK. The Fund, sponsored and co-invested in by Grainger plc, was established in November 2006 with an attractive and diverse initial portfolio which included 1,480 units in 38 developments across the UK. In March 2007, the Fund, advised by Grainger, acquired a 700 unit high reversionary market let portfolio located predominately to the East of the City of London. The independently managed Fund now holds investment assets comprising 2170 individual units in 56 unbroken blocks/clusters of property with an investment value of £412million. Circa 90% of the assets are located in London and the South East. Specific objectives of the Fund are to manage the portfolio to achieve (i) growth in rents and stable occupancy (ii) attractive acquisitions (iii) medium-to long-term capital appreciation and (iv) property sales at the appropriate point in the asset cycle to maximise shareholder returns. An integral part of the Fund's strategy is to grow the Fund by acquiring further properties with similar characteristics to the initial portfolio.
